Our Journey

For more than two decades, Indonesian Muslim communities around the world have grown, served their local societies, and preserved their Islamic values and Indonesian cultural heritage.

As these communities grew, so did the aspiration to strengthen cooperation across borders, preserve a shared Islamic and Indonesian identity, and build a stronger platform for future generations.

Beginning in 2022, this aspiration developed into a structured international initiative. Following community consultation, stakeholder engagement and international benchmarking, IMA was formally declared at the Istanbul Congress in February 2025.

In April 2026, International Madani Association reached another important milestone with its official registration in Australia.

What began as separate communities across the world is now developing into one connected global family.
